Jun 23, · For my second afternoon storytime, I decided to do a wild animals storytime. And I had nineteen kids show up to practice their animal noises. (I was floored, given the weather!) First up, I read “Dancing Feet” by Lindsay Craig. I used this book in my “Shake Your Sillies Out” program, and promised that I would use it again.
Apr 07, · Both books were hits in this storytime — they loved both the flaps and fold-outs. “Color Zoo” was definitely their favorite activity though and it gave my heart such joy since that book is the first book I remember being read to me in the library. This session went by really fast and I couldn’t believe it was over already.
Mar 17, · Book: From Head to Toe by Eric Carle. This is a nice book to use because it's interactive. As each animal makes a different movement, ask the kids to make it, too. We needed to stand up for a bit, so I had all the kids stand up and they did all the motions as I read the book.
